Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process using technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. To support new hires, the organization offers a $10,000 sign‑on bonus. The unit is a 26‑bed Level 1 Trauma Center, Accredited Chest Pain and Stroke Center, serving the Billings area and surrounding communities. Position Details Shift: Full time, 36 hours per week, night shift. Department: Emergency Department. Primary location: St. Vincent Regional Hospital. Typical nurse‑to‑patient ratio: 4:1. Required: Minimum one year licensed RN experience in an emergency department or high acuity setting. Key Responsibilities Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans. Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. Uses resources as needed. Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization and abides by service behavior standards. Performs other duties as assigned. Might be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need. May be placed on call during a scheduled shift. Minimum Qualifications Education (Required) : Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Registered Nurse with an ASN/ADN degree must complete a BSN within four years from hire date unless possessing at least fifteen years of proven continuous RN experience in an acute care setting; failure to obtain the BSN may result in suspension or termination. Certification (Required) : Current RN license in the state of practice; Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS‑HCP) upon hire or within 60 days of hire; Advanced Life Support (ACLS/NRP/PALS) as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in a similar high‑acuity setting. Certification as appropriate for unit or service. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $38.37 – $52.25, dependent upon experience. Eligible for benefits covering medical, dental, vision, and additional wellness programs.
