Join a compassionate healthcare team as a Speech Language Pathologist, delivering specialized therapy programs aimed at preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and social communication disorders. This part-time role offers the opportunity to impact patients across the lifespan, from newborns to geriatrics, within a supportive regional healthcare environment in the Central Plains.

Essential Responsibilities

• Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Maintain professional and effective communication with patients, families, healthcare team members, and external agencies.
• Practice within the scope defined by licensing boards and demonstrate competency in unit-based policies and procedures.
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop, implement, review, and maintain individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on therapy goals and care processes.
• Provide clinical oversight to Speech Language Pathology Assistants.

General Responsibilities

Perform additional duties as assigned to support the department's mission and patient care excellence.

Education and Experience

• Education meeting licensure requirements at the time of issuance.
• Preferred: Previous experience in a similar clinical setting.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist through the appropriate state licensing board.
• Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.
• Driver's license and auto insurance if the position requires driving.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of speech therapy principles.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements

Light work involving occasional exertion up to 25 lbs and frequent exertion up to 10 lbs. Standing or walking may be required 11-25% of the workday, with or without accommodation.
