We provide mammography and breast care within the patient’s primary care or OB/GYN practice and coordinate appointments with annual exams, making compliance easier. Per Diem Technologist If you are an experienced mammographer who can work independently and wants to impact each patient, join us as a Per Diem. Qualifications Must be up to date on all CME credits. Patient-centric, compassionate, and computer savvy. Ability to perform technical activities related to screening and diagnostic mammography. Flexible and able to multi-task. Willing to cover on a moment’s notice. Responsibilities Produce screening and diagnostic mammograms for detection of breast cancers and lesions. Ensure the mammography service’s success in the practice and assist in ensuring all eligible age-appropriate patients receive annual screening mammograms. Prepare patients for procedures and explain steps to reduce anxieties. Adjust equipment settings based on exposure techniques and protocols. Practice radiation protection using beam restrictive devices and patient shielding. Follow safety standards when operating equipment. Examine digital images for quality. Maintain equipment in proper working order. Perform QA testing to comply with MQSA, ACR, and state requirements. Maintain patient confidentiality. Process paperwork and enter required data. Participate in professional development and maintain affiliations. Prepare all reports and data required by MQSA and state regulations. Assist the Radiologist with QA/QC reporting. Track mammography per MQSA guidelines. Maintain QA documents to exceed Annual FDA Inspection requirements. Obtain and maintain ACR accreditation. Experience Mammography: 2 years (Required).
