Job Description

Are you looking for a few hours of work each day in a fun and family oriented atmosphere? We are seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Childcare Teacher's and Assistants to join our team at Prairie Pals Monday-Friday! Our hours of operation are from 6:30AM-4:30PM. This individual could work with children from the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years.

Education Requirements:

Vary depending on interested position. Teacher: 60 Semester hours at an accredited university with 6 semester hours in early childhood education. Assistant: high school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications:

Must Meet all Requirements of DCFS 407 regulations
Previous experience in childcare, preferably with infants and toddlers
Multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Passionate about working with children
Positive and patient demeanor

Responsibilities:

Instruct children in age appropriate activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
Create a fun and safe learning environment
Follow schedules and routines set forth by Parents and the Center to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
Maintain the health and safety of all students
Ability to lift 40 pounds
