The Perishable Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of perishable warehouse employees, ensure compliance with all company policies, assist in the training of new hires, and ensure all safety, production, sanitation, and quality standards are attained.

Ensuring quality and on-time delivery to customer.

Ensuring compliance of sanitation guidelines by warehouse employees.

Monitoring employee relations and handle employee issues/problems.

Assisting with training new hires and other training as needed.

Overseeing the daily actions of employees including performance management.

Ensuring all employees are in compliance with safety policies.

Must be 18 years of age

Flexible schedule including weekends

Strong communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred

Experience in a unionized environment preferred

1-3 years of supervisory experience in warehouse supervising at least 10 associates; preferably in the grocery industry or fast paced, production based environment

Constant- standing, walking, driving, carrying, twisting, bending, seeing, hearing, and handling paperwork. Lifting of objects weighing from less than 20 lbs. to 60 lbs.

Frequent- stooping, balancing, and hearing

Occasional- pushing, sitting, feeling, reaching, climbing, pulling, gripping of items ranging from under 20 lbs. to over 60 lbs.

Temperature of grocery warehouses can range from 50° to 80° Fahrenheit, a perishable warehouse can range from 28° to 60° Fahrenheit, and a freezer warehouse can range from -20° to -10° Fahrenheit.
