At PDS Optical, we are committed to delivering exceptional eyewear and outstanding service to our Veterans. We're seeking an experienced optician to join our team at the Columbia, MO VA Hospital and help us uphold our mission of providing GREAT Veteran CARE!

Position Details:

• Full-time | Monday - Friday | 8 AM – 4:30 PM
• No nights or weekends!
• Pay Range: $18-$20/hour
• $2,500.00 Sign-on Bonus after 30 days of employment!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to Veterans.
• Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction through exceptional service.
• Work collaboratively to foster a positive and productive environment.
• Comply with security clearance requirements by successfully passing a background check.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of optician experience.
• ABO Certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Skilled in fitting, adjusting, repairing, and selling eyewear.
• Proficient in using lensometers, pupilometers, and computers.
• Knowledge of VA benefits and discounts for optical services.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and customer-focused.
