Assistant General Manager

Location: Tysons Corner, VA. Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 depending on experience, plus up to $20,000 in potential annual incentive bonus. Paid vacation. We are looking for an Assistant General Manager who can help us keep raising the bar. The Role Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager helps lead daily operations, develop the team, and deliver the warm, polished hospitality our guests expect. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives on the floor and behind the scenes. Fine casual or fine dining management experience is required. Experience in bar management is a plus. Responsibilities Partner with the GM on hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of front‑of‑house staff Lead guest relations — set the tone for service, handle escalations, and turn first‑time visitors into regulars Manage floor operations during shifts, including opening and closing duties Support scheduling and labor management to control costs while maintaining service standards Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations Assist with inventory, ordering, and vendor coordination Help track and hit financial targets, including sales, labor, and cost of goods Coach and motivate the team, giving feedback and supporting professional growth Step in for the GM when needed and contribute to a positive, high‑performing culture What We're Looking For 2+ years of fine casual or fine dining restaurant management or supervisory experience Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast‑paced environment Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain) Good business acumen What We Offer Competitive salary of $80,000–$90,000 based on experience Up to $20,000 in annual incentive bonus Paid vacation The chance to grow with an award‑winning, nationally recognized restaurant More detail about Joon, part of The Kitchen Collective, please visit #J-18808-Ljbffr
