This person may be asked to provide additional leadership coverage as required. D Shift, 7pm-7am Thur - Sat and E/O Wed.Job Responsibilities & Tasks:Manage your environment and team's safetyMonitor work areas to ensure compliance with safety protocols, including OSHA and safety requirementsMonitor work areas to ensure compliance with food safety and quality protocolsEnforce Materne North America policies, standards and procedures, ensuring fair and consistent application and employee accountabilityOversee Maintenance related OperationsCommunicate with management, co-workers, and direct reports to coordinate work activities and share information (this includes attending daily pass-downs and regularly scheduled meetings and completion of troubleshooting reports)Deliver action plans developed from fact and data-based root cause analysis and enforce standards defined by workshop managersEnforce 5S principles, support Continuous Improvement initiatives, and implement Lean Manufacturing principles to ensure World Class PerformanceManage performanceManage the work and performance of a team of Maintenance Technicians, ensuring that equipment and plant are in World Class operational condition at all timesEnsure completion of schedule Preventative Maintenance tasksSchedule Work Orders using CMMSProvide Corrective Action as necessaryPrioritize repairs that occur during productionTrack Maintenance KPIs as assignedOversee troubleshooting, Corrective Repairs and Preventative MaintenanceUtilize Predictive Maintenance technologies to improve MTBFManage and optimize use of spare parts for an assigned work areaOversee training and qualification of new and current Maintenance TechniciansDevelop employee competencies and provide detailed and fact-based feedbackPerform quarterly evaluations of your teamCross-functional ProjectsProvide area guidance based on experience, system knowledge and equipment functionSystems include but not limited to: pre-processing, production, packaging, palletizing, WWTP, Boilers, refrigeration, HVAC and plant utility systemsPartner with operational group on assigned shift to ensure organizational teamworkWork with the Production Supervisor to ensure plant operational needs are metOversee other Maintenance teams in the absence of that team's supervisorProvide additional support to Operations in the absence of partnered Production supervisorPartner with human resources in raising and resolving employee personnel issuesLead and/or participate in investigations, perform Root Cause Analysis and work with Plant Leadership to implement corrective action to eliminate conic issuesDrive Continuous ImprovementIdentify, justify and propose improvements to machines and Maintenance processes which positively impacts safety, food safety, quality and operational efficiencyAll other duties as assignedKey Performance Indicator (KPI): OEE, Downtime, Preventative Maintenance completion, Emergency Work Orders, Work Requests, Loaded LaborPosition Requirements:EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferredCombination of education and experience will be consideredEXPERIENCE: 3+ years of experience in Maintenance within a manufacturing environment1-3 years' experience as a Maintenance Supervisor preferredFood or pharmaceutical industry manufacturing experience is strongly preferredSKILLS:Ability to understand technical processes and automated mechanical equipmentStrong background in preventative Maintenance and repair of industrial manufacturing equipmentAbility to demonstrate logic and reason to identify problems and offer solutionsDemonstrated ability to meet operational goals while also fostering a positive work environmentDemonstrated commitment to employee safety and food safetyStrong interpersonal, communication, leadership, training and coaching skillsMicrosoft office proficiencyPLC experience is highly desiredPHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. regularlyMust be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Must be able work in normal office conditions and in the manufacturing plantMust be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day and be on his/her feet for extended periods of timeBel Brands is an equal employment opportunity employer.
