Pay: $14–$16/hr depending on experience & interview
Schedule: Multiple Shifts Available
Start: Immediate

About the Position

We are hiring an experienced Heavy Material Handler for a busy plastic manufacturing and recycling facility in Houston. This is a physically demanding industrial position involving heavy materials, plastic grinding equipment, packing, and forklift operation.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment, and has previous experience handling heavy materials.

Available Shifts

1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Job Responsibilities

Handle, pack, move, and organize heavy plastic materials
Operate grinding equipment to process plastic materials
Operate forklifts to transport and stage materials
Load and unload materials
Stack and organize products and materials
Feed and move materials through the production area
Follow production and safety procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Perform other warehouse and production duties as assigned

Requirements

Bilingual English/Spanish required
Previous heavy material handling experience required
Previous forklift experience required
Previous grinding experience required
Experience in manufacturing, recycling, warehouse, or industrial environments preferred
Must be comfortable performing heavy physical labor
Ability to stand, bend, lift, push, pull, and move materials for an entire shift
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Must be available to work the assigned shift
Must be able to follow safety procedures and work as part of a team

Important Physical Requirements

This is NOT a light-duty warehouse position.

The job requires frequent physical activity and handling of heavy materials in an industrial manufacturing environment. Candidates should be comfortable working on their feet and performing repetitive lifting, moving, packing, grinding, and forklift duties throughout the shift.
