HR Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION

The HR Coordinator supports and facilitates HR service delivery at Trex manufacturing locations. This role coordinates the scheduling, logistics, documentation, and administrative follow-through that site HR operations depend on, including new hire onboarding and site orientation, recruiting and candidate logistics, and employment eligibility verification. Working under the guidance of the Site HR Manager or HR Business Partner, the HR Coordinator enables HR Business Partners and Generalists to focus on employee relations, coaching, and case work by absorbing operational coordination that must be handled locally but does not require case-level HR judgment. The role escalates rather than interprets matters involving policy interpretation, employee relations, disciplinary action, or regulatory judgment are routed to the accountable HR role. RESPONSIBILITIES Put safety first – Always! Lead and foster our “people first” culture. HRIS Data Management & Reporting

Collect, enter, and validate employee data within HRIS and internal systems, including new hire records.

Onboarding, Orientation & Employment Eligibility

Coordinate new hire onboarding logistics, including scheduling, materials preparation, system access requests, and first-day arrangements. Coordinate site orientation logistics and delivery in partnership with Operations Training. Complete Form I-9 employment eligibility verification within required timeframes, examining and recording documentation in accordance with defined procedures.

Recruiting & Candidate Coordination

Schedule interviews and coordinate interview logistics with hiring managers, recruiters, and candidates. Book rooms, equipment, and resources required for on-site interviews. Greet and escort candidates on site, supporting a professional and consistent candidate experience. Support requisition and candidate documentation as directed by the recruiter or HR Business Partner.

Process Coordination & Records Administration

Route approvals to the correct role and follow up on outstanding sign-offs to keep HR processes moving to schedule. Maintain discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information. Other duties as assigned.

Manufacturing experience and experience completing Form I-9 employment eligibility verification are preferred but not required. A bachelor’s degree is also preferred but not required. Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to coordinate multiple concurrent schedules and competing priorities across several stakeholders Proficiency in computer applications, especially Excel Working knowledge of employment eligibility verification requirements and timeframes Ability to manage confidential information and handle sensitive issues Strong attention to detail Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Excellent time management and ability to meet tight deadlines Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures

Preferred Skills & Experience Experience supporting HR operations in a manufacturing or multi-site environment Working knowledge of UKG or a comparable HCM system Experience coordinating onboarding, orientation, and/or recruiting

SALARY Base pay range: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour The pay range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the hourly base pay and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary. At Trex, individual base salaries are determined based on various factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
