Because at Solventum, we never stop solving for you.The Impact You'll Make in This RoleThe Operations Manager will lead the daily operations of the Forest City Distribution Center (DC), serving as a member of the site operating committee and overseeing warehouse operations, labor planning, service delivery, and performance. This hands-on leader will drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance; lead supervisors and frontline teams; and implement continuous improvements to support business objectives. Here, you will make an impact by:Primary ResponsibilitiesLeading daily distribution center operations, including inbound, outbound, material flow, and warehouse activities to meet safety, service, quality, cost, and productivity objectives.Developing and executing labor, equipment, space, and capacity plans to support operational requirements and achieve performance targets.Ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS), regulatory, transportation, import/export, security, and product handling requirements.Monitoring and improving key operational metrics; identifying performance gaps; and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.Providing leadership, coaching, and accountability for supervisors, frontline employees, and industrial engineering resources to drive engagement and results.Managing operating expenses, labor utilization, productivity, and overtime to achieve financial and operational objectives.Leading tier meetings, operating reviews, and Gemba walks to align resources, remove barriers, and drive execution.Partnering with logistics and supply chain stakeholders to communicate performance, address risks, and support business reviews.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and seven (7) years of supply chain, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, and/or operations experienceORHigh School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) and eleven (11) years of supply chain, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, and/or operations experienceIn addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:Direct supervisory experienceProject implementation / project management experienceAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or EngineeringFive (5) years of direct supervisory experienceThree (3) years of project implementation and/or project management experienceExperience leading operations in a high-volume distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environmentDemonstrated success managing safety, quality, service, cost, productivity, inventory accuracy, and compliance performanceExperience coaching, developing, and leading frontline teams while fostering accountability and engagementExperience applying Lean principles, standard work, visual management, and continuous improvement methodologiesWork location:· Onsite - Forest City Distribution Center, Forest City, IATravel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-beingSolventum offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
