Job Title: Palliative Care Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg RN Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 3x12.0 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Two years of recent palliative or acute med/surg experience License: RN License (Client) Certifications: BLS from American Heart Association Must-Have: - Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification highly desired Description: This position involves caring for patients aged 18 and above with intensive symptom management needs at the end of life. Good IV skills and wound care skills are essential. Compassion is vital as candidates will manage patients with complex needs and families in crisis. Astute assessment skills are mandatory to advocate for patients who often cannot speak for themselves. The role also includes caring for general medicine overflow. Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification is highly desired. Two years of recent palliative or acute med/surg experience and BLS certification from the American Heart Association are required.
