For additional information, visit Instructional Designer, School of Live This role reports to the Instructional Design Manager and is responsible for designing, developing, and continuously improving learning content. The Instructional Designer applies adult learning theory, best practices, and emerging technologies to create high‑impact, engaging learning experiences that align with business needs. Who Are You? Responsibilities Apply subject matter expertise in instructional design, aligned with research‑based adult learning theories, methods, and practices to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences for varied learner groups. Ideate with the team on appropriate learning solutions, design, and technologies to serve a global audience. Create instructional materials and media (storyboards, facilitator guides, presentation decks) and leverage storytelling skills to translate ideas into scripted, interactive/immersive learning content across varied delivery methods (instructor‑led training, video production, e‑learning, performance support, etc.). Integrate objective‑aligned learning checks and engagement strategies to verify comprehension, reinforce key concepts, and drive real‑world application. Use surveys and other assessment methods to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the learning experience and identify opportunities for improvement. Update and maintain School of Live training content and learning libraries based on guidance from School of Live leadership. Work with various stakeholders and SMEs across the business to ensure content meets learning objectives and accurately reflects Live Nation culture, business, and priorities. Maintain Live Nation branding; work with the Instructional Design Manager and Graphic Designer to ensure visual consistency across all School of Live content. Apply feedback and evaluation methods to continuously improve learning programs and inform future content development. Qualifications Required: Minimum of 3–5 years of instructional design experience across multiple modalities (in‑person, virtual, e‑learning, micro‑learning, etc.) for complex businesses with a wide spectrum of employee types. Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or a related discipline; specialization in Instructional Systems Design or Educational Technology preferred. Knowledge of instructional design, learning & development models, and adult learning theory with the ability to apply modern learning techniques. Proven work experience in instructional and graphic design (portfolio work preferred). Knowledge of Adobe Creative programs, Articulate, Microsoft 365, Zoom, and learning management systems. Exceptional presentation skills for a variety of audiences. Ability to present a clear, thorough content strategy and how it supports learning objectives. Ability to consult with diverse stakeholders and SMEs within a broad, decentralized business. Organized and strong communicator (written and verbal). Can thrive while working virtually, collaboratively, and independently as part of a decentralized organization and hybrid team. Brings a positive attitude and a desire to be part of a hard‑working, high‑impact team. Preferred: Experience in entertainment, live music, or related industry. Advanced degree a plus. Digital learning software experience (e.g., Articulate, Captivate) and learning animation software knowledge. Experience with LMS software/applications.
