Equipment Technician

Position: Equipment Technician Location: California Duration: Long Term Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to support manufacturing and test equipment in a regulated medical device environment. The ideal candidate will perform equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, validation support, and work closely with engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-level equipment issues. Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and maintain accurate maintenance records. Support IQ/OQ validation activities, data collection, and issue resolution. Work with Equipment Engineering to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Support equipment installation, qualification, and stabilization during new product introduction (NPI). Improve equipment reliability, uptime, and overall manufacturing performance. Update asset records and maintain maintenance history using CMMS. Document maintenance activities and follow GMP and quality procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations. Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Required Qualifications 2 5 years of experience supporting manufacturing or test equipment. Diploma or Associate's degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or a related field. Experience in medical device, robotics, or other regulated manufacturing environments. Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical equipment. Experience supporting IQ/OQ validation activities. Knowledge of preventive maintenance, CMMS, and equipment documentation. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
