Job Description
Job Title: Cardiovascular Sonographer
Profession: Clinical-Allied

Hours per Shift: M-F 8 am - 4:30 pm
Experience: Minimum of 2 years current Cardiovascular Sonographer/Echocardiographer experience required.
License: RDCS certified through ARDMS or RCS, ACS, RCCS certified through CCI required.
Certifications: BLS required.
Must-Have:
- Competence in delivering pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care including patient assessment and emergency cardiac care (CPR is required).
- Ability to assist with post-procedure transport as needed.
- Knowledge of equipment calibration, maintenance, and quality assurance monitoring.
- Skill in generating ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular related structures.
- Experience in monitoring and recording patient information and maintaining data systems.


Description:
Demonstrates competence in delivering pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care.
Provides patient assessment and emergency cardiac care.
Assists with post-procedure transport as needed.
Ensures equipment is calibrated and maintained daily.
Performs and records equipment maintenance and quality assurance monitoring.
Troubleshoots and identifies any equipment problems and reports them to the appropriate supervisor.
Generates ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular related structures.
May perform staff training and education.
Monitors and records patient information and maintains report storage and data systems.
Compiles and enters data necessary for charge entry and prepares reports.
Responsible for retrieval of stored information and reports from the automated storage system.
Prepares procedure room and equipment for daily use.
Responsible for timely and efficient room preparation between procedures.
