Position Overview
Pioneers Medical Center is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist to join its laboratory team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a highly skilled laboratory professional with extensive clinical laboratory experience and a strong commitment to quality patient care.
The successful candidate will perform a wide range of diagnostic laboratory procedures involving blood and body fluids, collect patient specimens, conduct laboratory testing, and analyze results to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. This position requires participation in weekday on-call rotations and every fourth weekend on-call schedule.

The successful candidate will perform a wide range of diagnostic laboratory procedures involving blood and body fluids, collect patient specimens, conduct laboratory testing, and analyze results to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. This position requires participation in weekday on-call rotations and every fourth weekend on-call schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic testing on blood, body fluids, and other patient specimens
- Collect and process specimens according to established laboratory protocols
- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
- Analyze, interpret, and document test results accurately
- Ensure compliance with laboratory quality assurance and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to support patient care
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations, including weekdays and every fourth weekend
- Maintain accurate patient records utilizing Meditech EMR systems
- Current ASCP certification, CLS certification, or equivalent credential required
- Current registered MLT or MLS certification required
- Active state license required at the time of submission
- Minimum of 5 years of Medical Laboratory experience required
- Preference for candidates with 10+ years of laboratory experience
- Strong background in clinical laboratory testing and specimen analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Travelers must reside at least 65 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
- Holiday coverage is required
- Must be available for a quick start assignment
