Details Acute care setting on the 2W Med/Surg unit of a level 1 trauma center hospital 10-bed unit caring for general Med/Surg patient population Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift Uses Epic EMR, AccuDose, bladder scanner, Phillips monitors, and telemetry equipment 12-hour shifts on a day/night rotation Every other weekend and every other holiday required May float to any Med/Surg unit on any campus in Fargo as needed Requirements Active ND or compact state RN license required, or willing to obtain Current BLS certification (AHA) required Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required Experience in a larger hospital setting (250 beds) with a level 2 or higher trauma center required Epic EMR experience required Recent completed travel experience required, ideally within the last year First-time travelers will not be considered Additional Information Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care Practice within full scope of nursing expertise using age and population specific standards Navy blue scrubs required Must badge in and out at the facility Local candidates within 80 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position Candidates living 61 to 80 miles from the facility are eligible at a local rate Previous employment history with the health system must be disclosed, and any prior employment must have ended at least 6 months before consideration American Traveler Job ID P-741828.
