Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess clients’ psychological and emotional needs, ensuring accurate documentation from initial consultations through to treatment completion.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans that cater to the unique challenges faced by individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • \n
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that promote engagement, therapeutic growth, and client empowerment.

  • Continuously monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary based on feedback and outcomes.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors, to ensure a coordinated approach to client care.

  • Provide follow-up care for clients transitioning from hospitals or inpatient settings back into outpatient treatment, maintaining open lines of communication with all relevant health professionals.

  • Identify potential barriers to recovery and employ strategies to mitigate these challenges while supporting clients and their families in managing behavioral health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client population facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, addiction, and trauma-related disorders. This role is critical in promoting recovery and emotional resilience, as you tailor your approach to meet varied client needs within our outpatient programs.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • Active and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
  • \n
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • \n
  • Strong foundational knowledge and practical experience related to mental health counseling practices, particularly within an outpatient setting.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in navigating electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to ensure effective documentation and coordination of care.
  • \n
  • Robust understanding of various mental health conditions, including common co-occurring disorders related to physical health or substance abuse.
  • \n
  • Excellent articulative skills, both verbal and written, allowing you to communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

  • A minimum of two years of post-graduate clinical experience in a licensed capacity, with a preference for experience in outpatient behavioral health settings.

  • Familiarity with the best practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and ongoing engagement with continuing education.

  • Professional development experiences that demonstrate a commitment to enhancing clinical skills and knowledge, particularly related to trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
