Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse

Location: New York, NY

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 3x12 hour (19:00 - 07:30). Floating required per facility needs.

Job Description: The Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting, demonstrating proficiency in the management of various dysrhythmias and effective use of rapid response and code teams. This role requires excellent clinical judgment and the ability to perform essential nursing skills efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in the medical-surgical and telemetry units.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias effectively.
• Provide peripheral line care and management.
• Administer oxygen and manage nasal cannulas and tanks.
• Implement isolation precautions and ensure patient safety.
• Perform continuous bladder irrigation and manage ports.
• Administer blood products and manage central and PICC lines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Med Surg/Tele.
• NY State RN License required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
