Chief Financial Officer

the client seeks a collaborative, mission-aligned Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial leadership for a nonprofit grantmaking organization that administers charitable funds to support community needs. Working with an executive leadership team, the CFO is expected to oversee financial operations and ensure strong long-term financial stewardship that supports effective grantmaking and sustainable endowment growth. As a key member of the leadership team, the CFO will provide strategic oversight of financial operations, investment administration, risk management, and overall financial stewardship. The role includes leading finance and accounting functions, serving as an advisor and collaborator to organizational leadership, and supporting governance by sitting on and advising board and other organizational committees. The CFO will also supervise finance staff and partner closely with the Controller to oversee day-to-day finance and accounting activities, while monitoring current and emerging trends to improve financial procedures and identify opportunities for fund and investment growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic, mission-driven financial leader with strong business acumen, integrity, sound judgment, and a collaborative leadership style.
