Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide advanced critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity ICU setting. Ensure the delivery of safe, evidence-based care while managing complex and multisystem patient conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for ICU patients.
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and multisystem organ failure.
• Titrate vasoactive drips, manage IABP, CRRT, EVD, and Arctic Sun/Cooling blanket therapies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient interventions and monitor progress.
• Float within scope to med-surg, Neuro, or Trauma units as needed.
• Ensure compliance with certification and licensure requirements and complete mandatory modules.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Maryland or Compact RN license at submission.
• Minimum of 2 years' critical care experience, including Neuro and Surgical ICU.
• Experience with dysrhythmia management and multisystem organ failure.
• Valid ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications, plus trauma-specific education (ATCAR or equivalent).
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system and specialized ICU equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret advanced EKGs with passing Relias assessment.
