Software Engineer — Kubernetes Core - Remote Work | REF#294094

As a Software Engineer for Kubernetes Core, you will contribute directly to the upstream Kubernetes codebase. You will work on the fundamental components that power the orchestration engine, collaborating with the open-source community to design and implement next-generation container features. What You'll Do Design and develop core Kubernetes components such as the API server, scheduler, and controller manager in Go. Contribute to Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to drive architectural improvements and feature development. Implement and optimize low-level interfaces including the Container Runtime Interface (CRI) and Container Network Interface (CNI). Review community pull requests and participate in upstream technical discussions and design proposals. Debug and resolve complex, distributed systems issues within the core Kubernetes orchestration layer. Ensure the stability and performance of the Kubernetes ecosystem through rigorous testing and community collaboration. What We Are Looking For 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on systems programming. Advanced proficiency in Go (Golang) and experience with large-scale distributed systems. Proven track record of contributing to the Kubernetes codebase or other CNCF projects. Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals, including API server, scheduler, and controllers. Expertise in low-level container technologies such as CRI, CNI, and OCI runtimes. Advanced proficiency in English. Benefits 100% remote work (from anywhere).
