Support students and make a daily impact by working as a Paraprofessional in a dynamic educational environment near Liberty, MO. Multiple contract positions are available for both functional skills classrooms and specialized support settings, allowing you to apply your expertise where it’s needed most and truly make a difference.
Current openings as of 7/16/26 include:
- Five Instructional Assistant roles for functional classic classrooms (grades K-6) at Spring Valley Elementary. Each classroom serves a small group environment (7-8 students) with primary or intermediate grade focus.
- Opportunities at Northwood School, a dedicated special education campus (K-12), including openings in an elementary medically fragile classroom and a secondary classroom focused on supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Extensive experience with medically fragile students and behavioral needs is highly valued.
Desired Experience & Skills:
- Prior work as a Paraprofessional, Instructional Assistant, or similar support staff in a school setting.
- Experience assisting students with significant needs, including those who are medically fragile or on the autism spectrum.
- Comfort supporting behavior plans and working collaboratively with special education teams.
- Patience, dependability, and a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- One-on-one and small group support for students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
- Assistance with classroom activities, therapeutic interventions, and care routines as directed by teachers and specialists.
- Ensuring student safety and engagement during the school day.
- Communication and collaboration with educators and families to support student progress.
