responsibilities:

  • Receive, stock, dispense, and manage physical and software inventory for biological materials under proper storage conditions.
  • Maintain and monitor -80°C freezers and perform aseptic aliquoting of biological samples within controlled environments.
  • Prepare, process, send, and track global sample shipments using specialized shipping software.
  • Operate, maintain, and assist in troubleshooting advanced laboratory automation and equipment.
  • Handle the proper disposal of hazardous laboratory waste products while maintaining compliance.
  • Prioritize and multi-task efficiently to fulfill order requests under shifting deadlines and high-precision demands.
 
qualifications:

Required Skills

  • BS degree with 2-4+ years of experience in biologics sample processing or a related field (or significant completed biology coursework).
  • Hands-on experience handling biologic materials and a strong familiarity with core laboratory techniques and aseptic practices.
  • Ability to maintain high concentration and meticulous attention to detail while performing repetitive laboratory tasks.
  • Physical capability to sit continuously for prolonged periods (>2 hours) and comfortably lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Skills

  • Experience operating automated liquid handlers and spending extended periods working in a bio-hood.
  • Familiarity with chemical inventory information systems, sample tracking databases, and specialized shipping platforms.
  • Strong independent problem-solving skills along with effective oral and written communication abilities.
