Summary:
As a Warehouse Associate for Artisan Bakers, this person will be responsible for supporting the warehouse team in all aspects of warehouse policies and procedures set forth by Artisan Bakers. WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS A MUST!!! This individual must be passionate, committed, and dedicated to the constant improvement of our warehouse procedures and the enrichment of our people. This position requires above average attention to detail, people skills, and the ability to quickly process information and act accordingly. This candidate will work closely with the warehouse supervisor, and report directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Objective:
Use prior experience and training to support the warehouse supervisor in general warehouse needs to ensure Artisan Bakers’ standards are met. This role is responsible for supporting the warehouse team in achieving the company’s vision for shipping & receiving metrics, inventory management, motorized vehicle training, and complete warehouse operations.

Responsibilities
• Be an attentive member of the warehouse team
• Support the team by completing any assigned task
• Participate in the warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching orders, etc.
• Adhere to the company’s GMP/BRC policies and procedures
• Stay in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
• Support management in monitoring inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as packaging, baking, and production to resolve issues and improve company’s overall flow
• Participate in company training and complete monthly surveys.
• Complete practical training for new forklift drivers
• Support the leadership team with daily reports, i.e. Lot code, order completion, order status, and task for next shift
• Work with the baking and packaging teams to ensure priorities are being met
• Assist in printing specialized labels
• Ensure all the areas of the bakery are provided with necessary ingredients, pallets, boxes and/or bags to ensure the process
• Support the enforcement of our safety program
• Perform other duties assigned by direct supervisor, or upper management
• Develop positive habits to meet short- and long-term objectives.

• Communication – Written and verbal communication skills are crucial in this role. Being able to explain recipes and procedures as well as actively listening is imperative.
• Multitasking – Ability to pivot from task to task while prioritizing business needs without compromising company standards.

Physical Requirements/Working Condition s
• Must be able to withstand lifting, standing, squatting, twisting, turning, and walking throughout the day.
• Must be able to raise both arms above your shoulder.
• Must be able to consistently lift 50lbs.
• Major fluctuation in temperature
• Warehouse/ production plant
• Noise levels vary from location/ department.
• Non-slip shoes are required.
