Bookkeeper – Inventory Costing & QuickBooks (Import/Export Experience Preferred)

Location: Miami, FL 33182

Salary: $60,000 per year

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a growing company in the packaging and import/export industry. This position is ideal for someone with strong accounting knowledge, experience handling inventory costing, and the ability to manage financial transactions related to international trade.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger entries
• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Process and record import transactions, including freight, duties, tariffs, and landed cost allocations
• Perform inventory costing and inventory reconciliations
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and vendor accounts
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities
• Track and analyze import/export expenses and ensure proper cost allocation
• Prepare financial reports and support management with cost analysis
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Experience in import/export, distribution, manufacturing, or inventory-based environments preferred
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Experience with inventory costing and landed cost calculations
• Understanding of import/export documentation and related accounting entries preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, reconciliations, and reporting
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required
