That’s a day in the life at In-Place Machining Company (IPM).Why IPMGlobal impact: Tackle critical projects across the U.S. and internationally.High reward: Compensation of $100,000+ annually (based on experience) with overtime, travel per diems, and additional perks.Never the same day twice: Diverse industries, unique problems, real results.Growth path: Learn advanced techniques, mentor others, and lead projects.Benefits: PTO, 11 paid holidays, and a comprehensive benefits package.What You’ll DoBring manual machining expertise to dynamic client sites—this is not a shop position.Hold tight tolerances (±0.010) in demanding field conditions.Set up, operate, and maintain specialized portable machining equipment.Interpret blueprints and collaborate with engineers and project teams to deliver custom solutions.Champion quality and safety standards on every assignment.What You Bring5+ years of manual and/or field machining experience.Hands-on skill with Bridgeport knee mills and manual engine lathes.Fluency in blueprint/mechanical drawing interpretation and GD&T.Mastery with micrometers and precision inspection tools.Basic rigging competence and safe power tool operation.Deep knowledge of cutting tools, materials, speeds, and feeds.Resourceful troubleshooting and the ability to adapt on the fly.High school diploma or GED/HSED required; Journeyman or technical degree preferred.Certifications & LogisticsOSHA 10 certification.Valid driver’s license.IPM Overhead Crane Training certification.Forklift training and valid license.Frequent travel (including some weekends); comfortable using mobile apps for time and expenses.Core ProficienciesManual machining skillsGD&TCNC tooling familiarityG-Code and M-Code literacyTroubleshooting skillsOwn Your Next StepIf you’re ready to see your work make a visible difference around the world—and be rewarded for it—join IPM as our next On-Site Precision Machining Specialist. #J-18808-Ljbffr
