Medical PhysicistLocation: Boise, Idaho (Onsite) Work Type: Contract (90 Days) Schedule: 3 Days / Week (12-Hour Shifts) Hours: 36 Hours per WeekThe Medical Physicist is responsible for providing expert support in radiation oncology, ensuring the safe and effective use of radiation for diagnosis and treatment. This role involves treatment planning, quality assurance, and collaboration with physicians and oncology teams to deliver optimal patient care. The physicist plays a critical role in maintaining radiation safety standards, analyzing imaging data, and supporting advanced oncology technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Treatment Planning• Plan and evaluate radiation treatment procedures• Analyze imaging and diagnostic data to support clinical decisions• Explain treatment plans and procedures to patientsRadiation Safety & Quality Assurance• Ensure safe operation of radiation equipment• Provide guidance on radiation protection and compliance• Manage radiotherapy quality assurance programsClinical & Technical Support• Support oncology teams with imaging and treatment technologies• Develop or evaluate equipment used for diagnosis and treatment• Ensure adherence to clinical and regulatory standardsTraining & Research• Train healthcare and technical staff on radiation practices• Participate in research and continuous improvement initiatives• Support education and knowledge sharing within the teamMust-Have Qualifications• Certification by ABR (American Board of Radiology)• Minimum 2+ years of experience as Medical Physicist• Strong experience in radiation oncology and treatment planning• Knowledge of radiation safety protocols• Experience with oncology systems and imagingPreferred Qualifications• Experience with EPIC, ARIA RadOnc, SHARE DRIVE CTC-RadOnc• Experience in hospital-based oncology departments• Strong analytical and technical expertiseCore Competencies• Analytical thinking and problem-solving• Strong technical and clinical expertise• Attention to detail• Communication and collaboration• Patient-centered approachWork Environment• Oncology / Radiation Department• Hospital-based acute care setting• Day shift scheduleAdditional Requirements• Must be open to contract/travel assignment• Must be available for day shifts• Must be open to onsite work in Boise, ID
