This role primarily supports construction projects and may involve service estimates and project management. Job Responsibilities Collaborate with and oversee the estimating team to review potential bids, prioritize bid order, and keep the bid pipeline current and accurate. Work with the sales team to maintain customer relationships, deadlines, and intercompany coordination using HubSpot CRM. Estimate installation and repair of HVAC and mechanical systems and projects. Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements. Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. Prepare and present estimates, proposals, and reports to internal and external stakeholders. Survey and evaluate mechanical systems for installation and repair, providing cost estimates and proposals for review. Submittal of bids in a timely and professional manner. Coordinate with project management and field operations to relay information captured during the estimating phase and review job approach. Maintain customer relations by promptly addressing concerns and ensuring long‑term relationships. Build and maintain positive rapport with all personnel to resolve problems, gain opportunities, and maximize profit. Prepare detailed, clear, and concise reports, proposals, and required company paperwork. Accountabilities Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all assigned tasks. Deliver work in a timely manner and meet internal estimate deadlines. Communicate effectively with team members. Follow safety procedures and company policies when on job sites. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Thorough knowledge of the HVAC industry – 5+ years (preferred). Estimating experience – 3+ years (preferred). Knowledge of Quotesoft and ability to build assemblies, adjust labor units, and track costs. Service estimating and project management experience is a plus. Valid driver’s license for operating motor vehicles in New Jersey. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent time‑management, prioritization, communication, and customer‑centric approach. Stay current with market trends, costs, and competition. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Behavior Profile Language Skills: Ability to read and understand construction documents, instructions, and specifications; communicate effectively with team members and vendors. Mathematical Skills: Strong basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, unit conversions; comfortable with spreadsheets and data entry. Reasoning Ability: Able to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, seek clarification as needed, and troubleshoot basic problems. Physical Demands Primarily office‑based with occasional site visits; may involve walking job sites, climbing ladders, or light lifting up to 25 lbs.
