Delivery Specialist

The delivery specialist reports to the Copier Operations Support Technician and is responsible for the timely delivery of copy paper and other supplies to all leased copiers and printers on campus. The candidate will need a basic understanding of campus buildings and locations. Heavy lifting is required (50lbs. or more), moving cases of paper. The candidate must be able to work independently, follow directions, and display a positive attitude and a keen desire to help clients as necessary.A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required. Training to drive the delivery box truck will be based on the applicant and the approval of Risk Management. Qualifications A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required. Knowledge of campus buildings and locations Ability to work independently, problem solve, and communicate with customer and Print & Copy staff Physical Requirements Heavy lifting is required (50lbs. or more), lifting and moving cases of paper. Maneuver hand cart to move multiple cases of paper Walking the delivery route, stairs climbing, and Working Conditions & Environmental Factors Position requires regular deliveries throughout UWM Extensive walking between buildings Operation of a hand cart Ability to work in rain, snow, and other outdoor conditions. Hours/Scheduling Approximate hours per week: 15-20hrs Part‑Time, Temporary Job functions include: Monitor inventory levels, disperse copy paper, toner, and staples to all satellite leased copiers and printers, and refill as necessary. The position is based out of the University Service and Research (USR) building, located approximately one mile east of the main campus. The applicant will be expected to drive a departmental van and possibly a box truck for campus deliveries. A delivery log must be maintained for all deliveries.
