1. Lead, Mechanical Engineer – 43137

  Location: Sterling, Virginia

  Salary: $102,000–$189,000

  Schedule: Full-time, 9/80

  Relocation: Possible for an ideal candidate
✈️  Travel: Occasional

Mandatory requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree plus 9 years’ relevant experience
• Graduate degree plus 7 years, or 13 years without a degree
• Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance; a clearance held within the past two years may be considered
• Must hold or be able to obtain a favorable polygraph
• Complex mechanical-system and critical-hardware development
• 3D modeling and hands-on laboratory experience
• Ability to work independently and lead technical activities

Preferred technical experience:

• Precision mechanisms and mechatronic systems
• Creo and ASME Y14.5/GD&T
• Thermal and structural loading
• Electronics and module packaging
• Actuators, custom gear trains, and electro-optical systems
• Additive manufacturing and DFM/DFMA
• Mechanical test plans, PDRs, CDRs, integration, and qualification testing

Knockout checks:

• Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance status
• Polygraph eligibility
• Required years of experience
• Ability to work in Sterling
