Apartment Maintenance Technician

Vie Management is hiring an HVAC‑certified maintenance technician to join our student housing community. Compensation for this position is $30 per hour based on experience, certifications, and qualifications, with opportunities for performance‑based bonuses. What You'll Do Perform preventative maintenance and complete resident service requests in a timely manner Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including troubleshooting heating and cooling equipment Complete plumbing, electrical, appliance, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, ensuring they meet company quality standards Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and community amenities Assist with emergency maintenance calls and participate in an on‑call rotation, including weekends and after‑hours emergencies Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and preventative maintenance activities Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable safety regulations Maintain an organized maintenance shop, inventory, and equipment Work closely with the management team to provide an exceptional resident experience through prompt, professional service Qualifications EPA HVAC Certification required (Universal Certification preferred) 2+ years of apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred Experience diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems is preferred Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, and general maintenance repairs Ability to prioritize multiple work orders in a fast‑paced environment Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Excellent customer service and communication skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work, including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and mobile applications to manage work orders, inspections, and daily maintenance tasks Weekend, holiday, and on‑call availability required Why Join Vie Management?
