WHO YOU ARE

An experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer to join our cloud platform team. This role is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing AWS infrastructure to support engineering teams building scalable, secure, and cost-efficient platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep hands‑on knowledge of AWS architecture, infrastructure‑as‑code, and cloud cost management, as well as strong problem‑solving skills to resolve complex technical challenges.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Partner with engineering and platform teams to design and implement robust, secure, and scalable AWS infrastructure solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve advanced AWS infrastructure issues across compute, networking, storage, and deployment pipelines. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams adopting AWS services and best practices. Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Drive cost optimization efforts by analyzing usage patterns, implementing right‑sizing strategies, and leveraging AWS cost management tools. Design and enforce security best practices, including identity management (IAM), encryption, network segmentation, and compliance monitoring. Collaborate with the Security team to ensure environments meet governance and compliance requirements. Automate operational tasks to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency of AWS infrastructure. Stay current on new AWS services and features and evaluate their potential benefits to the organization. Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and playbooks for infrastructure deployment and troubleshooting.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. 4-7 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining AWS environments at scale. Proven expertise in architecting and troubleshooting AWS‑based infrastructure for production systems. Advanced knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFront, Lambda). Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other Infrastructure as Code tools. Strong understanding of networking, security, and automation in AWS. Experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Datadog, Prometheus, etc.). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Competence in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell). AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (Preferred) AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty (Preferred) AWS Certified Security - Specialty (Preferred) Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. Proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement. Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence AWS design and operations decisions.
