Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in inpatient care is sought for a position at a Short Term Acute Care facility located in Walla Walla, Washington. The role involves providing occupational therapy services across various hospital units, including ICU, Medical, Surgery, and an in-house 8-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position follows a dayshift schedule, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

• Required Qualifications: WA licensed Occupational Therapist with 1 year of experience in an acute care setting. Experience in adult rehabilitation, edema massage, functional splints, kinesiotaping, orthoplast, and static splints preferred. Candidate must have at least 1 year of experience, be independent, and capable of managing time effectively.

• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic medical record system.

• Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat patients across multiple hospital units including ICU, Medical, Surgery, and Inpatient Rehab.
  • Manage diverse diagnoses such as multi-trauma, TII, SCI, CVA, surgical, orthopedic, Parkinsons disease, multiple sclerosis, etc.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, work as a team member, and be flexible to move between departments.
  • Work efficiently to meet or exceed productivity standards, including picking up extra patients as needed.
  • Maintain a friendly, outgoing demeanor to ensure team cohesion.

• Additional Information:

  • Must be flexible to go between all work areas and work as a team member.
  • Expected to be self-driven, a hard worker, and skilled in time management.
  • Availability to work one weekend every four weeks.
  • Vaccination requirements include COVID-19 and flu vaccines.
  • References must cover at least 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years.
  • Candidates should clarify whether they have previously worked at a Providence facility, including location and dates worked.
