Our new state‑of‑the‑art heart hospital is dedicated to delivering world‑class, patient‑centered cardiovascular care. Position Details Department: Invasive Cardiology Shift: Days, 7am – 5:30pm, rotating day off Required Experience: Will train (Current CVIS/CVIT Students, Recent Grads and Rad Techs welcome to apply) Preferred Experience: 2 years + Cath Lab or EP Lab Orientation at The Heart Hospital Plano: 1100 Allied Drive, Plano, TX 75093 On‑Call: STEMI call ≈ 7‑8 days per month, including one weekend; holiday call rotates annually; includes major and minor holidays. Schedule: Four 10‑hour shifts, 7:00‑5:30pm; day off varies weekly. Location: The Heart Hospital Frisco – 7600 Better Way, Frisco, TX 75033 Responsibilities Assist physicians with arteriograms, catheterizations, permanent pacemaker and implantable cardioverter‑defibrillator implantations, peripheral and coronary procedures, and thrombolytic therapy. Follow radiation protection regulations for patients, self, and staff; provide emergency care such as CPR and defibrillation. Perform pre‑ and post‑procedure care and monitoring. Orient patients for catheterization or electrophysiology procedures; address questions to ensure relaxation. Monitor patient’s ECG, pressures, temperature, and impedances during electrophysiology lab work; notify physicians of variances. Assist with RF/Cryo ablation systems, 3‑D mapping and other procedural documentation. Manage and maintain imaging for stenosis testing; format and process cardiac and peripheral cases. Collect registry and quality data in procedure rooms; gather catheterization data and prepare procedure reports. Prepare and maintain sterile fields; order and manage inventory of supplies; ensure rooms are adequately stocked. Coordinate audits during yearly inventories; perform routine calibration and maintenance of complex equipment. Provide orientation and training for new staff and students; support supervisor‑defined duties. Oversee quality control monitoring such as NPSG auditing; participate in performance improvement initiatives on a daily, monthly, or quarterly basis. Engage in departmental, hospital, or professional committees; contribute to LEAN, NOBLE, 5S projects and quality assurance programs. Transport patients to and from procedural areas; demonstrate excellent customer‑service skills. Key Success Factors Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree, or completed US military training program equivalent to an Associate’s, or 2+ years related cardiovascular lab experience. Availability for on‑call response per policy. Knowledge of invasive cardiac and vascular instrumentation, techniques, anatomy, and physiology. Qualifications Associate’s degree in a related field. Will train: Current CVIS/CVIT students, recent graduates, and Rad Techs welcome. Preferred Experience: 2+ years in Cath Lab or EP Lab. Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations ACLS – within 30 days of hire/transfer. BLS – within 30 days of hire/transfer. Must hold or acquire one of: ARRT‑R Radiography; CCDS Cardiac Device Spec; CEPS EP Specialist; MRT Medical Radiologic Tech; RCES Reg Cardio Electro Spec; RCIS Reg Cardiovascular Invasive Spec.
