Recruiting Coordinator - West Virginia

The Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for supporting all aspects of the firm’s recruiting initiatives for all positions within the firm, including attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and administrative staff. This role serves as a primary contact for candidates, law schools, internal stakeholders, and vendors, ensuring a professional, positive, and seamless recruiting experience that aligns with the firm’s strategic hiring goals.

Compensation:

$35,000 - $45,000 yearly base + bonus

Responsibilities:

Candidate Sourcing

• Post open positions on job boards and other recruiting platforms

• Source and identify candidates through online search, referrals, and professional networks, including but not limited to LinkedIn, to locate candidates for open roles within the firm

• Build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates for current and future openings

• Maintain regular communication with law schools, summer associates, schools for internships, and other entities for the purpose of networking and developing relationships for recruitment purposes

• Plan and coordinate recruiting-related events, such as law school receptions, in-office interview days, summer associate events, and firm-wide recruiting events

• Maintain accurate records of all candidates and recruiting activity

• Ensure job postings and candidate information are kept up to date

 

Candidate Screening

• Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates

• Conduct initial phone screenings to assess basic qualifications and interest

• Present qualified candidates to the hiring team for consideration

 

Interview Coordination

• Coordinate all interview scheduling between candidates and hiring teams

• Ensure candidates move through the interview process in a timely and organized manner and have a positive experience with the firm

• Maintain clear communications with candidates regarding interview scheduling and next steps

Hiring Process Support

• Track candidate progress throughout the interview/hiring process

• Coordinate with Operations Manager/HR to facilitate reference checks and onboarding steps as needed

• Work with Operations Manager/HR to ensure offer letters are prepared and delivered in a timely manner once a hiring decision is made. 

• Collect feedback on the recruitment, interview, and hiring process to improve our systems and candidate experience

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered

• Minimum of 2 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience required

• Law firm or professional services recruiting experience is preferred but not required

• Familiarity with law school recruiting cycles and legal hiring practices is a plus

• Must have experience in sourcing candidates using LinkedIn Premium/LinkedIn Recruiter and job boards

• Must have strong organizational, communication, and candidate screening skills with the ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously, all while maintaining confidential information

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
