Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00–07:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) setting during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in holiday coverage rotation, working at least every other holiday
• Complete required orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate, with an acceptable passing score
• Adhere to all facility compliance requirements, including annual hands-on competency and required training modules

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent employment experience in ICU or the specialty being applied for
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• Active BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active NIHSS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• One professional reference required from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (co-worker references not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU or MICU experience within a single facility or location
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation in a critical care environment
• Experience working in a large academic or high-acuity hospital setting
