Position Summary: This position is responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining the Energy Management System (EMS) systems and software applications at the Doniphan Control Center. The incumbent will participate in the full project life cycle process including gathering requirements, system design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and support of the EMS servers, workstations, and software applications. The incumbent will work closely with our business unit customers and technology teams to ensure business requirements are implemented and meet customer expectations.

Education, Training and Experience: Technical Analyst: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (OR) Associate degree and a minimum of three (3) years technical IT experience, including specific experience as listed below (OR) High school diploma/GED and a minimum of five (5) years technical IT experience, including specific experience as listed below. Systems Analyst: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum of four (4) years technical IT experience as listed below (OR) Associate degree and a minimum of six (6) years technical IT experience including specific experience as listed below (OR) a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of eight (8) years technical IT experience including specific experience as listed below. Senior Systems Analyst: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum of eight (8) years technical IT experience as listed below (OR) Associate degree and a minimum of ten (10) years technical IT experience including specific experience as listed below (OR) a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of twelve (12) years technical IT experience including specific experience as listed below.

Experience: Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others on multiple activities with flexibility to manage competing demands and changing priorities. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills. Excellent analytical problem-solving skills. Must be customer-service oriented and adaptable to ongoing change.

Ideal Technical Skills: Microsoft Windows operating systems (implementation and maintenance) Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems (implementation and maintenance) Microsoft Active Directory Microsoft SQL Server (database maintenance) Microsoft PowerShell Experience in IT cybersecurity, compliance, and/or configuration change management Network configuration and firewall management Incident response and risk management Strong attention to detail and ability for critical thinking

Licenses and/or Certifications: Security Clearance: Incumbent may be required to satisfy any existing and future District security clearance or background check requirements for access to key NPPD locations and/or supporting sensitive business applications. Obtain and maintain intermediate to advanced technical certification aligned with key business system platform(s) used at the District (for example, SAP, Microsoft Certifications, and Security related best practices) as applicable.

Salary Information: Nebraska Public Power District offers a competitive starting salary with opportunities for growth. In addition to the base salary range listed below, NPPD employees may also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program (AIP) that may supplement total compensation at a level above and beyond the stated salary range. Technical Analyst - Pay Grade - 12 Monthly Typical Pay Grade Starting Salary Range: $6,477.00 - $8,096.00 Systems Analyst - Pay Grade - 14 Monthly Typical Pay Grade Starting Salary Range: $8,218.00 - $10,478.00 Senior Systems Analyst - Pay Grade - 15 Monthly Typical Pay Grade Starting Salary Range: $9,430.00 - $12,023.00

Travel Required: Up to 25% (With no or minimal overnight stays, less than 3 per month, typically within state of Nebraska) Travel required may fluctuate by business need. This is an estimate and will be discussed further with candidates that receive an interview.

Salary: Nebraska Public Power District offers a competitive starting salary with opportunities for growth. In addition to the base salary listed in posting, NPPD employees may also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program (AIP) that may supplement total compensation at a level above and beyond the stated salary range.

Retirement Savings: NPPD employees may participate in two retirement plan options – a 401(k) plan and a 457(b) plan. Both plans allow for pre-tax or Roth contributions. After the first six months of employment, the 401(k) plan includes a generous matching contribution from NPPD. The five-year vesting period begins on an employee's hire date. Our retired employees are eligible for retiree healthcare benefits as well as a life benefit paid out to designated beneficiaries upon their passing.
