Tunnel Operator

The Tunnel Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently loading vehicles into the wash tunnel while maintaining operational flow and safety standards. This position plays a critical role in throughput, equipment protection, and overall site performance. Success in this role is measured by safe vehicle loading, consistent traffic flow, and adherence to operational procedures. Key Responsibilities Safely guide vehicles onto the conveyor system and ensure proper alignment Provide clear loading instructions to customers prior to tunnel entry Conduct visual safety checks including confirming windows are closed and vehicles are secure for wash Monitor tunnel entry area for hazards and maintain a safe work environment Operate loading controls and related tunnel systems as required Maintain consistent vehicle spacing to support optimal throughput Communicate operational or safety concerns to management immediately Keep tunnel entrance and surrounding areas clean and organized Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures Support overall site operations as needed Performance Expectations Maintain safe loading practices at all times Support target vehicle throughput goals Minimize equipment risk through proper vehicle positioning Contribute to efficient, uninterrupted tunnel operation Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous car wash or equipment operation experience preferred but not required Strong situational awareness and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Reliable attendance and punctuality Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays Core Competencies Safety awareness Operational efficiency Attention to detail Training and advancement opportunities 105 Sandcrab Blvd, Port Lavaca, TX 77979, USA #J-18808-Ljbffr
