Due to continued growth, we are looking to add a CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Technician to our Beach Lake, PA team. This role uses computer-aided design software to create and revise detailed technical drawings, layouts, plans, models, and schematics for fire protection projects. Success in this role requires technical proficiency, accuracy, attention to detail, effective collaboration, and the ability to organize and manage multiple project priorities. Key Responsibilities:

- Produce detailed drawings, layouts, and plans using CAD software.
- Interpret technical briefings, sketches, and specifications provided by engineers and architects.
- Amend and revise drawings in response to feedback, design changes, and site visits.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable legal, industry, and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve design and documentation issues.
- Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and supporting documentation in accordance with the company's filing system.
- Perform regular quality checks on drawings and models.
- Support design teams with project planning, modeling, and visualization tasks.
- Remain current with advancements in CAD technologies and practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Diploma or degree in CAD, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or equivalent CAD software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of engineering or architectural drawings and principles.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, sketches, and project requirements.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage drawing revisions and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Previous experience as a CAD Technician or in a related technical drawing role.
- Work primarily in an office environment while using a computer for extended periods.
- Regularly use a keyboard, mouse, and computer monitors to create and review detailed technical drawings.
- Remain seated for extended periods, with occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Occasionally lift and carry office supplies, drawings, or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally visit project or construction sites as required.
- Maintain the visual acuity necessary to review detailed plans, drawings, and computer-generated models.
