Description

SUMMARY

Responsible for setting up CNCs, reviewing programming job orders before running parts to ensure accuracy. Responsible for CNC tool maintenance and overall machine/area cleanliness.


Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

• Can read and understand CAD drawings and individual job orders.
• Must have the ability and willingness to train new CNC operators.
• Can set up Stone CNCs with programming input provided by others.
• Ability to multitask.
• Must be comfortable working with computers and specialized software.
• Ability to learn and understand how to handle different types of stone materials safely.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or its equivalent
• Special training in CNC programming or on-the-job apprenticeship required
• Can read a tape measure and other measuring devices

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing instructions and customer order sheets

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
