**Pay Rate up to $19.50/hour**

The Driver's primary responsibility is to safely transport Independent Living residents to and from scheduled Life Enrichment outings and activities in a 12-passenger bus (non-CDL). Driver must possess a good driving record, and successfully pass BGRV Driver Training. Position is PRN (as needed) and involves day trips, as well as some evening and weekend trips. The driver selected for this position will need to have a flexible schedule and ability to drive at night.

Responsibilities of a Driver:

• Prepare for scheduled transportation by arriving early enough to check that the bus is ready for passengers e. has sufficient fuel, adequate fluid levels, tire pressure and a comfortable temperature for passengers.
• Collect necessary directions/maps to plan best route to and from destination in advance of scheduled trip.
• Pick-up and drop-off IL resident passengers at the most convenient and accessible location for them.
• Develop a friendly and professional rapport with IL residents and family members as well as IL staff while maintaining a high standard of excellence in customer service at all times.
• Report to the Wellness Coordinator regarding periodic maintenance needs of the IL Bus.
• Operate the IL Bus's wheelchair lift, when necessary, always following the appropriate safety procedures.

Requirements of a Driver:

• Must possess good driving records and successfully pass 86RV Driver Training.
