# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** August 31, 2026 **Location:** Austin, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 13-week contract, night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), rotating weekends; no on-call requirements**Highlights:** - Fast-paced 48-bed emergency department with dedicated fast track, behavioral health, and trauma services- Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 for general ED, 1:5 for behavioral health, and 1:3 for cardiac/trauma cases- MEDITECH EMR system with modern equipment including Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers- Comprehensive case mix including splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, and behavioral health de-escalation- Supportive team environment with active unit-based council and social committee- Permanent positions available for long-term career growth**Requirements:** - Active Texas RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS required- Emergency department experience required- Preferred: MEDITECH experience, trauma experience, holding inpatient experience, and CPI certification- Strong multitasking abilities, teamwork skills, and self-starter mentality**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** Join a high-performing emergency department team in one of Texas's most vibrant cities.
