Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder to perform flux core welding on mild steel for the construction of barges. The ideal candidate will have experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding, and be able to read blueprints effectively while collaborating with a team under the supervision of a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform flux core welding on mild steel to construct barges.
• Utilize MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Collaborate effectively with team members under supervision.

• Proficiency in flux core, MIG, and TIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, and structural steel fabrication.

• Previous welding experience ranging from 3 to 6 months.
• Ability to pass a weld test during the interview process.

Work Environment

The work environment is outdoors and can be very hot. Welders are required to wear steel-toed, ankle-high leather boots, avoid wearing contacts due to welding smoke, and wear long sleeves and pants for safety. The position offers two shifts: 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 6am to 3:30pm, and 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, 3:15pm to 12:45am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland City, TN.

The pay range for this position is $20.30 - $21.30/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Ashland City,TN.
