This position will maintain various financial reporting records, and assist in the preparation of financial statements for the Company and its affiliates.How will you drive value within the organization as a Financial Accountant?Complete the monthly closing process including reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts and journal entriesComplete monthly, quarterly, and annual taxable income estimates and allocationsAssist with completing periodic state and local tax filings and federal information reportingDevelop, prepare, and review ad-hoc reports as needed for internal and external customers including internal and external auditsEvaluate processes for opportunities to improve efficiency, make recommendations for change, and support implementation of improved processesAccurately maintain electronic records and filesWhat should you already know to be successful in this role?Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Management, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field requiredBasic knowledge of accounting and financial concepts requiredStrong analytical, problem solving, data gathering, and analysis skills requiredStrong Excel skills required; basic knowledge least one computer coding language (VBA, SQL) preferredHigh level of intellectual curiosity required including the inclination and ability to understand the drivers of financial results and the overall financial picture of the organization at a high-levelHigh level of professional maturity; verbal and written communication skills necessary to interact with senior management requiredStrong drive, ambition, and self-motivation; ‘self-starter’ with the ability to independently resolve day-today issuesExcellent organizational skills with high attention to detailTeam player that can adapt in a fast paced and changing environmentCommitment to exemplifying the organizational core values and key competenciesEmployment Requirements:This is an exempt level position whereby business need will dictate the exact work schedule which should be expected to vary at times.
