The engineer will meet these responsibilities while complying with a Quality Management System (QMS), including supporting design reviews and using document/revision controls. The engineer will work with others on the project team to develop verification/validation plans as well as test procedures. The engineer will support the manufacturing team at planning, new product introduction, and full-rate production phases of the product lifecycle.What required background will make you successful?Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field5 years or more of hardware design experienceExperience with RF and/or high-speed digital electronics hardware and/or firmware/FPGA designStrong understanding of the fundamental principles of electronics, such as Ohm’s law, transmission lines, setup and hold analysis, etc.Ability to generate schematics for high-performance and mixed-signal circuit boardsAbility to directly implement or guide others in all aspects of PCB layout, fabrication and assembly processesStrong understanding of the circuit board fabrication and assembly processes including practical considerations for designing manufacturable electronicsStrong written communication skills, including the ability to understand complex technical specifications and the ability to develop detailed design documentationAbility to generate procedures, scripts, and instructions used for production and test environmentsCreative problem solving and the ability to multi-taskStrong written communication skills, including the ability to understand complex technical specificationsAbility to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearanceUS CITIZENSHIP REQUIREDPreferred skills:Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a closely related fieldKnowledge of SDR, GPS, or GNSS/PNT systemsKnowledge of the VPX circuit card form-factorExperience with Model-Based Systems Engineering and tools (Cameo, DOORS, etc.)Experience ruggedizing electronics for military avionics environmentsExperience with test equipment like spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopesExperience with Altium Designer and GitlabExperience with RF and analog circuit design, as well as RF test equipmentWorking knowledge of high-speed digital interfaces such as PCI Express, DDR SDRAM, High-rate Ethernet, USB3, and JESD 204Where is the position located?This position is located onsite at our Tucson, AZ Headquarters.*The likely salary range for this position is $116,000 to $140,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
