Electronics Service Technician Location: Livonia, MI Salary: $52,000 - $62,000 per year Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (we may have a part time opportunity available as well!) Duration: Permanent position with benefits About Us We are a leading provider of advanced pipeline inspection, rehabilitation, and maintenance technology, supporting customers across the wastewater and infrastructure sectors throughout North America. As part of a global group of specialist manufacturers, we design, distribute, service, and support innovative equipment including pipeline inspection cameras, robotic cutting systems, crawler systems, cable reels, control units, and UV curing technology. Our products help municipalities, contractors, and utility companies inspect, maintain, and rehabilitate underground infrastructure efficiently and safely. Our Livonia, Michigan service center provides technical support, repair, maintenance, and distribution services to customers throughout the United States. The Opportunity We are seeking a hands-on Electronics Service Technician to join our growing service team in Livonia. This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and restoring sophisticated equipment. You'll work on a wide range of products, performing component-level diagnostics and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems while supporting customers with technical issues and service requirements. What You'll Be Doing Service & Repair Diagnose faults across a diverse range of products, identifying electrical and mechanical issues down to component level. Read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Disassemble, repair, test, and reassemble equipment to manufacturer standards. Carry out repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance on: Pipeline inspection cameras Robotic crawler systems Control units Cable reels and coiler rods Robotic cutting equipment UV curing systems Perform soldering and wiring repairs, including small electronic components. Verify repairs through testing and quality checks before equipment is returned to customers. Customer Support Communicate with customers in person, by phone, and via email. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance. Deliver a high level of customer service throughout the repair process. Administration & Inventory Book equipment into the service department and maintain accurate service records. Complete job sheets within the ERP system, documenting labor, findings, and parts used. Monitor stock levels and submit stock replenishment requests when required. Assist with goods-in/goods-out activities and spare parts picking as needed. What We're Looking For Required Skills & Experience Experience in electronics repair, electro-mechanical repair, or technical service environments. Ability to read electronic schematics and technical drawings. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Experience with soldering, wiring repairs, and electronic component replacement. Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience. Previous experience working within a service department, repair facility, or technical support environment. Strong computer skills and confidence using business systems and software. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Personal Attributes Positive, can-do attitude.
