Operator/driver

SWEET GRASS COUNTY Public Works Department is accepting applications for a full-time operator/truck driver. Applicants must hold or obtain (within 6 months of hire) a Class A commercial drivers license. Knowledge of running a grader and other heavy equipment is preferable but not required. Starting wage is $48,800+ DOE, with full benefits. This job is open until filled.

The Sweet Grass County Commission uses tax dollars to maintain County roads and bridges with the funds available. The board of county commissioners, under the limitations and restrictions that are prescribed by law, may: (a) (i) lay out, maintain, control, and manage county roads and bridges within the county; (MCA Code 7-14-2101)

It is the Sweet Grass County Commissions goal to maintain the roads in Sweet Grass County by prioritizing the roads by usage patterns. The following usage patterns are submitted to the public for their input.
