IV Certified Pharmacy Technician in Nashville, TN

An established pharmacy in Nashville, TN, is seeking a skilled IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician for an 8-week contract role with the potential to transition to contract-to-hire based on performance. This position offers the opportunity to advance your pharmacy technician career by working closely with pharmacists in a dynamic infusion setting.


Responsibilities:

• Operate under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to accurately fill prescriptions and prepare IV admixtures.
• Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to input data into the computer system for prescription processing and reimbursement.
• Assist in prepackaging medications for dispensing according to regulatory standards.
• Support the Pharmacist in final prescription checks, ensuring accuracy before final review and packaging.
• Coordinate timely and accurate delivery of medications to customers.
• Maintain inventory control, including receiving, rotating stock, posting lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting with physical inventory counts.
• Work alongside Technician Supervision to maintain equipment calibration, cleanliness, and a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• IV certification and prior experience with IV/infusion pharmacy duties are mandatory.
• National pharmacy technician certification is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow state and federal regulations.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Occasional Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
