Sr. Software EngineerMust have: Entity Framework, XML documents, and APIs - legacy technologies experience and application security experience. Requirements skill set:Python - ExpertSAS - IntermediateSnowflake - BasicSQL Server – BasicIDMC / Power Center – BasicR - OptionalExperience:Bachelor's degree (Major in statistics, computer science, economics, engineering or similar quantitative field preferred) or equivalent experience.5+ years of professional experience as a data scientist or similar in a corporate environment.Experience using AI tools; preferably Jupyter with Python, Data Robot, and SAS.Experience using BI tools; preferably Tableau.Experience using SQL; preferably Postgres SQL and T-SQL.3 years leading agile project delivery for analytical topics.3 years in the Financial Services or Automotive Industry (Preferred)The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for system analysis, design, development and testing for their assigned technical product(s) or application(s), within the context of an agile/DevOps delivery model. In addition, they will extend their DevOps responsibilities to take on Operations topics and may also fill the Agile delivery roles of Business Analyst and Scrum Master.Key accountabilities of the function:Analysis and Design: Within the context of the BMW FS Software Development Life Cycle and other relevant processes:Perform technical analysis of new and existing systemsDevelop design documentation and other relevant collateralEstimate work effortSupport, guide and lead other associates in the understanding of legacy systemsDevelopment and Testing: Utilize FS standard practices for development and delivery of projects and maintenance tickets including the following key tasks:Coding and configurationCode reviews and peer consultationsUnit testing and unit test developmentSystem, integration and user acceptance test planning, execution and testing supportDefect management and resolutionOperations and Support: Fulfill the breadth of DevOps tasks, including:Steering providers in the execution of tier 2 support tasksResolving escalated support topicsLeveraging and enhancing operations and development toolsPlanning and executing upgrades and replacements to ensure that hardware and software components remain supportedExecuting ITSM/ITIL processes to ensure ongoing stable operations and alignment with SLAsBusiness Analysis: Execute the Business Analyst Agile Role by:Building a strong understanding of the assigned business processes, functions, roles and rulesOwning the functional solution– the big picture story – of the initiative being deliveredCollaborating with the Business to elicit requirements, define acceptance criteria, and maintain a prioritized product backlogCreating user stories to the level of granularity required by the teamClarifying inconsistencies and resolving issues to bridge the gap between user expectations and the delivered productTesting deliverables against a user story's acceptance criteria to validate that the delivered product meets the business goalsScrum Master: Execute the Scrum Master Agile Role by:Leading the Agile team in the adoption and execution of Agile processesPlanning and facilitating key Agile events including daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetingsCollaborating with the Product Owner to manage the Product backlogClearing obstacles and enabling the efforts of the scrum teamCoordination and Administration: Support efficient work processes by:Coordinating day to day activities with team membersLeading and mentoring other team members as appropriateCoordinating release planning and off-cycle effortsResolving or escalating risks and issuesExecuting resource planning and time tracking processesImpact on innovations and changes:Balancing speed to market, product quality and cost in the design and implementation of technical solutions.Developing technical solutions that appropriately account for both evolving technology and future business requirements.Executing in an evolving agile environmentPurpose and subject of the interaction/communication with internal/external interfaces, negotiating mandate:Close collaboration with IT colleagues and the Business in the design and implementation of technical solutions.Performance of activities and interactions with our internal and external customers through verbal or written communication should reflect adherence to the company's core values.Educational Background / Professional Knowledge and Experience / Other Skills:Bachelor's DegreeWork experience, Leadership experienceKindly share your resume with answers:How many years of exp in Entity Framework, XML documents, and APIsHow many years of exp in C# and.NET skillsHow many years of exp in relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) using ORM (Object-Relational Mapping)How far you live and how will you commute to Columbus OH
